Fit4D Coaches People with Diabetes to Stay Healthy
A decade ago, David G. Weingard attributed his rapid weight loss to his triathlon training, but a visit to his physician revealed he actually had type 1 diabetes.
Weingard struggled with the diagnosis but eventually learned how to maintain his rigorous lifestyle by properly balancing his insulin and food intake.
The Microsoft employee then recognized he had a mission – he wanted to help others with the potentially deadly diagnosis to manage the disease.
He founded Fit4D, a technology-enabled health coaching service that uses prompts through phone calls, texts, and more to help people with diabetes to take their medications and mind their diets.
Hear Weingard discuss Fit4D’s mission with Steve Krupa in this week’s Breaking Health Podcast.
